Carlo Innocenzo Frugoni, genovese poet, with refernce to the thousand old Rivalta Castle ,wrote in 1779 that “ here one finds all the graces of human life. We do not know if the Locanda del Falco , which exists within the village since the 15th century, could so be defined.
Today it is definitely true, starting from the shop next to the entrance, colored by seasonal products

The shop is just one of the elements that compose this locanda managed by the Piazza family since the 1970’s.First mother Caterina, than the brother Marco, and now Sabrina great chef and hostess with her sister Michela satisfy the legendary fame that surrounds this restaurant.
The cuisine is classic and symbol of quality. Classic recipies for unforgettable dishes: anolini in capon broth, old style pisarei e fasò, mixed boiled meats, stuffed veal pouch, roasted goose, and a selection of inviting desserts all home made.
The locanda has been awarded the title of historic site of Piacenza. In the summer meals are served in the very cool internal garden or at tables along the streets of the village where cars are not admitted. A visit to the Castle is a must with its room of arms, tables set in the dinning room, and illustrations of the “Battle of Lepanto”. Before leaving the village, stop over at the locanda where you can buy their dishses at “Il Falco a casa” ( Falco at home) take away.
